The Secret to Effective Time Management: Hour Blocking

Time is a gift to us from God.

He gives each of us a “time bank” of 24 segments of 60 minutes to allocate on a daily basis.

Time management is an essential skill and there's an easy and powerful way to master this skill. You can use it to block off hours in your schedule and get more things finished. It enables you to take control of your minutes each day.

“So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalms 90:12 NKJV

Follow this process to take advantage of this valuable technique:

  1. Start with planning. Make a list of all of your important tasks for the week. Then, narrow this list down to three to five essential tasks.

  • Be realistic about your planning. Avoid thinking that you can do a million tasks in one day or week.

  1. Block your hours. After you have a shortlist of tasks, block the hours on your schedule. This is called time blocking and essentially requires you to take each hour and assign a task...

Calling out the "busy" women.

Am I the only one?

Two quick questions for you to ponder:

The dictionary states “something that prevents someone from giving their attention to something else”.

  • What is God prompting your heart and calling you to give attention?

As a visionary, inspirational speaker, best selling author I must candidly expose the enemy's trap…once God places that “project” in your heart the distractions as my beloved Grandmother would say “will come out of the woodwork!”

Distractions get in the way every day, keeping you from being as productive as you might like. These distractions come in many forms, from ringing doorbells and...

dream gameplan goals May 27, 2023

Do you tell yourself that you’ll get started on your big plans at some future date? You can start a business after the kids graduate from college? Are you sure you know the real reason you’re waiting? If you’re waiting to begin pursuing your dreams, you’re likely just procrastinating!

Consider these excuses. Is one of them yours?

  1. You’re waiting for the perfect time. Are you waiting for the stars to align and the heavens to tap you on the shoulder and give you permission? You’ll be waiting for a long time. The time will never be perfect to get started on something significant, so just get started.

  2. You’re waiting for something else to happen first. Maybe you’re waiting for the kids to move out or for the mortgage to be paid off. Or you’re...

The GIFT Of... MOM!

healing mother peace May 13, 2023

How does the dictionary define the word, MOTHER?

  • a female who has given birth to offspring
  • a female substituting in the function of a mother
  • motherly qualities, such as maternal affection
  • a female or thing that creates, nurtures, protects, etc
  • a title given to members of female religious orders

In serving thousands of families in the past twenty years, the thought and emotions evoked of Mother's Day can vary based on your particular life experiences and encounters.

It can bring joyful childhood memories and warm thoughts of raising your own children. It can be filled with gut-wrenching sorrow over the loss of natural children, infertility or broken relationships with adult children. It can also be a time to reflect on the countless lives you have impacted as a "spiritual/ mentor" mom to others.

Regardless of the "mother" scenario, we can be encouraged to know God thought highly enough of YOU to bring you to plant earth through the womb of a woman!

calling time management Mar 05, 2023

“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 AMP

Spring symbolizes FRESH growth, NEW opportunities, the START of new beginnings!

Unfortunately, many women can get STUCK and miss the open door because of this one thing…

This one thing keeps you frozen…

This one thing blocks your creative flow…

This one thing can cause you to circle around your mountain another FUTILE time!

Today, I encourage you to position yourself for SPRING and…give yourself the Gift of Forgiveness.

When someone has wronged you, forgiveness may be the last thing on your mind. You’re convinced they deserve all the anger and hostility you can muster. However, forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself. Does your anger harm the other person? In most cases, the other person just stays away.

Holding a grudge is like punching...

BUH BYE 2022...Hello NEW Year...A New YOU???!

Uncategorized Jan 08, 2023

Happy NEW Year!

Phew!  We made it.

As a little girl, one of my favorite Saturday morning shows was "The Jetson's." Can you recall the lyrics of the opening song? It featured life in the "future." Today, fifty years later, a majority of the show's "gadget" concepts ARE part of our lifestyle.

The year 2023 marks not only a new Year, but it also marks the opportunity for a FRESH start from the unprecedented happenings of 2022!

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:19

God is a God who can make all things NEW! What does that mean?

Despite your past or current circumstances, when we go to God and His Word for His perspective, His guidance on the matter, He gives us a NEW vision and attitude.  When I go to God and His Word, I begin to see clearer, and I begin to see through a broader lens about the...

Top 10 Ways to Declutter Your Mind

The American Psychological Association states our lives are filled with clutter, whether it’s a desk covered with papers, a kitchen drawer stuffed with items that don’t seem to belong anywhere else, or an overwhelmed mind trying to deal with too much. A cluttered mind is fatiguing and results in poor performance and poor decisions. You can declutter your mind, just as you can declutter your kitchen drawer.

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].” 2 Tim 1:7 AMP

Declutter your mind and gain clarity:

  1. Start with your diet. A poor diet can result in a foggy and confused mind. The main culprit is inflammation and unstable sugar levels. There are plenty of resources available on anti-inflammation diets. Avoid processed carbohydrates...
